Richard Maulsby – Associate Commissioner for Innovation Development will provide updates on patent reform relating to inventors; talk about the new Office and some of the objectives moving forward, the two Regional Conferences, the Pro-Bono initiative, and the opening of the Smithsonian’s exhibit, The Great American Hall of Wonder.
Liz Dougherty Acting Deputy Director, Office of Patent Legal Administration, will talk about inventor opportunities to interact one on one with the USPTO around the country, including the upcoming conference in Pasadena on August 12 and 13th, keynote speaker is Deputy Under Secretary Teresa Rea and National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductee, Dr. Gary Michelson as well as Mark Hatch founder of Tech Shop to name a few.
Mindy Bickel, Special Program Advisor and the Project Manager for the Ombudsman Project will talk about how the program started and why; the success of the pilot and how applicants should use this new program. Mindy will also discuss the creation of a new IP assessment tool.
